ORD - Special Use Permit #SUP2017-00040, James Madison Marketplace – Large Retail Use - To allow a 108,000 square-foot retail use associated with a home improvement retailer, a 28,000-square-foot garden center, and waivers and modifications, including sign modifications. Retail uses exceeding 80,000 square feet require special use permit (SUP) approval in the subject zoning district. The ±11.04-acre site is located on the north side of John Marshall Hwy (Route 55), approx. 1,650 feet west of Route 15. The site is identified on County maps as GPIN 7298-53-6088 (pt); is zoned PMD, Planned Mixed Use District; and is designated REC, Regional Employment Center, in the Comprehensive Plan.
