I strongly oppose Delegate Guzman for this position for her well known position opposing 287g and PWC's participation in it. She will not be an impartial arbiter on this board. She also has zero law enforcement experience which should be a requirement for this board.
Delegate Guzman is an outstanding advocate for all residents of Prince William County and has worked tirelessly to help the Commonwealth of Virginia make improvements in many areas. She has demonstrated energy and persistence in representing her District and county. The Regional Jail Board needs members who understand the concerns of significant communities in our County. As a Hispanic Delegate Guzman will ensure all voices are heard in making decisions. I strongly support her appointment.
I oppose appointing Elizabeth Guzman to the Regional Jail Board because her record shows she will not support Sheriff Hill who was ELECTED because of his stance on 287g. I am in favor of PWC continued support of 287g. Guzman has never worked in law enforcement, which should be a pre-requisite to this position.
I oppose Elizabeth Guzman's appointment. I am concerned that her position to not cooperate with DHS around deporting criminal aliens puts our immigrant community's safety at risk. I have seen first hand how criminal aliens victimize members of the immigrant community.
I oppose the appointment of Elizabeth Guzman. They are unqualified, with no direct experience that would make them a suitable, informed candidate for this position. The Manassas Regional Jail Board should be balanced politically, and chaired by individuals who have worked in law enforcement, military and/or the jail system.
I oppose the appointment of Elizabeth Guzman to the Prince William-Manassas Regional Jail Board. She is not supportive of the safety and well-being of the county.
The County needs to keep the 287(g) program. It works to keep dangerous illegal immigrants out of our communities, making Prince William residents safer.
She ran to abolish our 287(g) program to check the immigration status of people who are taken to jail - not just stopped - and hold those here illegally for the feds.
We just re-elected Sheriff Hill to keep this fair, common-sense measure to protect our families, our neighborhoods, and most of all, immigrants who come to work hard, learn, and stay out of trouble.
Ms. Guzman's background in budgets and behavioral health will assist in policy regarding recidivism programs. I think she will be an asset to the county.
As a resident of the Occoquan District, I strongly support the nomination of Elizabeth Guzman to the Prince William - Manassas Regional Jail Board. -- Steven Raikin, Attorney at Law
Ms. Guzman is unwilling to support the will of the citizens of Prince William when sound management of the Manassas Regional Jail is concerned. I therefore oppose her appointment to the Manassas Regional Jail Board.

I strongly urge the BOC to not elect Ms. Guzman to the Jail Board. I support Parish and Haynes.

Glenn Hill was elected by the people.
