I strongly oppose having Tracy A. Lenox as appointed to the Manassas Regional Jail Board. I do not feel that she will be impartial and her existing position for open borders will jeopardize our current 287g agreement.

Tracey Lenox is an extremely competent lawyer who have extensive support in defending people who either do or do not end up in jail. I find her to be very balanced in her view of the legal system, and have no concerns over conflict of interest. She is very ethical and I'm sure would deal with any potential conflicts of interest. Our criminal system needs to improve in finding situations where incarceration is counterproductive to long term change. She will bring a much needed balance.

Ms. Lenox's criminal defense background will prove useful to the Jail Board's mission. I do not see a conflict of interest between sitting on the Jail Board and being a defender. Her knowledge of the law and process of incarceration should be a benefit to the board and a county.

I oppose having Tracy A. Lenox as appointed to the Manassas Regional Jail Board. As a criminal defense lawyer, she may decide to defend those criminals, who should be punished, and let them go free. This is not concern for the county. We don't need this county to be a safe haven for criminals.
