As a resident of PWC, 20+ year PWC business owner, and member of ERFT, I support this proposal. The economic recovery from Covid needs to be multifaceted. Task Force itself is multifaceted with volunteer business leaders working within committees to create short, mid, & long term recovery recommendations in areas of Workforce, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Taxes & Incentives. I never observed any political agenda and am proud of collaborative work done by the task force. Jenny Osborn
As a resident of a more rural portion of the county, and having seen first-hand the negative consequences that hasty economic development efforts can have, I urge the board of supervisors to stipulate that any development efforts preserve, to the maximum extent possible, the agrarian potential and heritage of the areas in question, to conserve beauty, encourage self-reliance and food security, and reaffirm commitment to a healthy ecological partnership between land, and the life it supports.
As a resident of PWC, a member of the ERTF, chair of the Workforce Committee I support this proposal. We were tasked to make viable recommendations that would improve economic recovery in PWC. As business leaders, we approached our task objectively not politically; we chose jobs as our metric. Thinking logically our economy is driven by leveraging our resources - land & labor. The only agenda I observed as part of the ERTF was to make recommendations that would improve the economy. Greg Ballard
