A seven-percent tax hike, on top of another biggie last year, will hurt unemployed and underemployed individuals, take too much from our struggling economy (especially as it does not appear narrowly focused to fixing COVID issues) and ratchet up burdensome bureaucracy long-term. And it seems totally unnecessary for many well and securely paid government employees who can save hundreds per month working from home and refinancing their mortgages. At least target those truly in need!
