Working the Board and Schools budgets from the ground up each year might produce more principled spending and meet challenges better than having the school contribution as a very large tax on the remaining budget that may ratchet up costs as real needs on one side prod use-it-or-lose-it long-term bloat on the other. In particular, all our County leaders should call attention to extravagant administration and architecture detracting from classroom construction for kids in dreary trailers.
