PWC BoS,
Defer tonight’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan vote!
For over a year, Gainesville District has been denied a voice in the most sweeping land use decisions affecting PWC in decades.
Despite being detrimentally impacted by the colossal PWDG proposal & other land use changes, District residents will again be unrepresented when the votes are tallied.
The only fair remedy is deferring tonight’s vote until Sup Candland resigns & the District can elect a new supervisor.

My name is Janet M. Doyle and I am writing to urge you not to approve the language of the land use chapter as written. It does not have the policy or procedure for the submission of a watershed study around the property to be rezoned. This should be done first included in the direction of homes with private wells. Water is a finite resource and those on private wells should not have to be robbed of their access to clean water that they originally purchased with their property by a developer.
I agree with Ms. Schroeder that the vote should be postponed to ensure Gainesville is represented.
I urge Chair Wheeler to address the data center conflict allegations in the Coalition to Protect Prince William County's recall petition to ensure a clean and valid process.
I oppose data center sprawl and extending subdivisions into the Rural Crescent. Let's renew, beautify and expand opportunities closer in: help more people, reduce commutes, and preserve countryside for all to enjoy.
My name is Lisa Heflin Schroeder and I am part owner of The Cedars Farm in Haymarket. Given the recent resignation of Supervisor Candland and the fact that Gainesville District has not been represented for months, please postpone the BOS vote on the 2040 Comp Plan Ammendment. I encourage you to "pump the brakes" and slow down this decision until Gainesville can be properly represented. Thank you for your consideration.
