9.A) Initiate - Comprehensive Plan Amendment #CPA2026-00004, La Benison - Potomac Magisterial District - Ahmad Behzad, Planning - Mobility, Economic Growth, and Resiliency
I strongly disagree with the proposal to initiate a Comprehensive Plan update to change parcel's designation from Parks and Open Space to RN-2. I also disagree with the County staff's assessment that this change is in line with other County goals for affordable housing. These parcels are completely surrounded by PW Forest Park, across from an existing County park and adjacent to a school property. These parcels should remain POS to be consistent with the forthcoming Fettler Park Small Area Plan.
